Sell out Concert Helps Youth Café
Tenbury Town Bands sell out Christmas concert on December 15th at the Regal has given Tenburys Youth Café, Café 27 a welcome financial boost.
The concert that featured a mix of music including the normal traditional Christmas favourites and the occasional burst of alternative entertainment saw the Regal packed to capacity. Thanks to the fabulous turn out the Band are very pleased to hand a cheque to the Youth Café for £1000.
“ TTB itself became a charity last year and are delighted to be able to give this money to the Café ,which does great work with Tenbury’s young people, much of which goes unrecognised “ said Band President Mark Yarnold.
Louise Taylor, Café 27 project Manager said “this is a very welcome gift which will enable us to provide additional support for the young people of Tenbury, Burford and its surrounding communities. We plan to use the generous donation to ensure that our Wednesday evening drop in session is secure for the next twelve months.”
This year celebrates the Town Bands 30th anniversary with a special 30th anniversary concert on 11th May (tickets available after 11th Feb at the regal box office) as well as a band trip to see the Edinburgh Military Tattoo in August.
There will also be a special anniversary dinner for members and ex-members of the band to be held at Cadmore Lodge on Saturday 2nd March. Any members or ex-members should see the band website for more details.
The band would like to say a huge thank you to all their supporters who made the Christmas concert such a resounding success.
